I have a 96 Infiniti I-30 with 225,000 miles on it. I had it since 50,000 miles and done regular maintenance such as oil, rotating tires and air filter replacement. I have NEVER gotten a tune up. My mechanic told me I didn't need one. My question is realisticly how many miles will my car last?

Well, you've no doubt lost some performance and fuel efficiency. I would also start to worry about belts, hoses, those kinds of things. I'd go to a different mechanic and have them do a thorough checkover. They may charge you 100 bucks, but you'll find out everything you need to keep that sweet VQ going for even longer.

I am with you on that one. Mine has 200000 on it as of last week and it is good as new. Based on how it is running now I would like to get at least another 80-90 thousand out of it. So far all I have done is put a new TPS (throttle position sensor) on it along with brakes, tires, trans flush, and oil changes. So far it does not leak or use ANY fluids. I am very sattisfied and plan to upgrade to another Infiniti when this one finally fails me! (by the way I drive this car about 80 miles a day to work and go on trips in it often) Very Reliable
