Opel Manta
Well I do not know if anyone heard of it ,, but this is my all time Favorite Opel ever since I was a kid watching it compete in the Rallys here it was a pleasure

My dad, when a goalie in poland, owned a '79 Opel manta berlinetta A.
He told back then, the day before he left for the states, a cop pulled out and started chasing him. He got away, but he didnt want to get in to much trouble so he pulled over and about 2 minutes later the got caught up to him. |

opel manta's are common as muck over here :P
the best of the production line in the uk was the manta GTE which was a 1.8 8valve engine. now day's people over here have taken to putting the C20XE engine from the ASTRA GTE 16V (OPEL KADET GSI16V to you) this is a 20ltr DOHC 16v engine that produces 156Bhp as standard and is capable of well over 250bhp with the right modificartions the gear box F20 is a close ratio 5 speed with realy long rev ranges right the way through. if you were going to buy a manta i would suggest looking into this engine, |
