2002 grand am sputter

My mom's 2002 grand am sputters when starting out, idle jumps, and check engine light comes on. My dad put about $60 in different fuel injector cleaners and doesnt seem to help. Could this be due to electrical problems?

P.S. -- The turn signal flasher frequently clicks, is this recalled in 2002's?

It could be electrical or it may be a Vacuum problem. What size engine?

If the check engine light comes on you should bring the car to a place that will scan the computer for free, I believe autozone does it. This will give you an idea of what is wrong, and where to go.

As far as the turn signal clicking, It was only recalled for the 2001 model year, not the 2002, If the car is still under warranty get it fixed by the dealer, if not, you may have a fighting arguement if the car was manufactured in 2001, like my 2002 is. ( check the sticker on the driverside door it will tell you the manufactor date) It depends though, they may or may not cover it...
