VAG-com rookie
I just recieved my first VAG-com in the mail. Using hardware from www.millisi.net and hardware from Ross-Tech. Any words of advice, a heads up... what's the crash course? Anything you feel is important or prudent. Here are the codes my car is reading (haven't figured out how to reset them yet, and ross-tech wants $100 for some stupid ass lisence)...
16486 P0102 Mass or Volume Air Flow Circ Low Input 16536 P0152 O2 Sensor Circ.,Bank2-Sensor1 High Voltage 16795 P0411 Sec.Air Inj.Sys. Incorrect Flow Detected 16804 P0420 Catalyst System,Bank1 Efficiency Below Threshold So what does it mean? Best guess?? The o2 sensors are brand new, 6 weeks at the longest. Help please, my car is running like crap lately and I've gotta get it fixed. Last edited by CaseyVR6; 04-07-2005 at 02:58 PM. |

Re: VAG-com rookie
I love the vag-com, but i'm kicking myself. I bought a cheap chinese knock-off (literally from china, not a slur) and it didn't come with software, and it won't work with the new version of anyone's freeware... only old versions. Let the be a lesson to all who are considering it. Pony up the $250 and buy the genuine part because you'll have to do it anyway.

Re: VAG-com rookie
Get a Bentley manual to help you understand how to use the software. Looks like the MAF is bad & possibly the bank 1 cat. Check the hoses to and from the secondary air injection pump.
