2001 Impala Emblem advice
I have a 2001 LS with the gold trim. I bought it used and it happened to be the exact car I wanted...except for the gold. I want to have the emblems painted, or swapped out, especially because the gold around the bow tie on the grill is flaking off. Any advice on what to do? My brother suggested having them painted black, the same color as the car. Also, I have gold on my lug nut covers (or whatever they're called), do they sell just the covers without gold trim?

Paint... swapping might be more trouble than its worth. The gold is flaking because someone likely painted it on the car that way, i'm almost %100 certain there is no option from GM for gold trim. For that matter, you MIGHT be able to get some paint thiner to take it off... but get alternative advice other than mine on that. Especially for the emblems on the side of the car. |
