Cluster gauge

hey, I am looking to buy some guages for my car.

If i bought a guage set with a tach and I dont have a tach, could I hook up the tach later?

How to i hook up a tach?

Do i have to buy one first or no?

I'd put on a flame suit bud. you might need it.

first off... do a search... this tach question has been beat down so hard. I think crj or someone put up a how to for it on here. try under one of the other topics.

I dont know about your year model, but in my 01 I bought a used stock cluseter with a tac and hooked it up and the tac worked with no modification.

Did you have to buy one from the same year? or are they universal for every year? I dont know if they made a cluster with a tach in 95'. Or does it matter if it z24 getting put in a 2.2?

What year is your car I think that 95-99 will have the same cluster

its a 95, I was looking at a 99 but it a digital odo. So i can't get that one unless I can program how many miles I have into it

I was going to get it from a junk yard but they wanted too much for it so I got it off ebay. I have no idea what year car it came off of, but 00-02 models have the same cluster. As for a 95, I'm sure they made some with a tac, however you miles will display wrong since its not digital.
