99 Z-24 problems, help needed please

I just bought a 99 Z-24, when i was at the dealership trying it out it seemed like the starting was delayed just a little (i would turn it over but it would wait a second or two till after). Now that i have travelled the 900kms home with it the problem has only gotten worse. On my way to school this morning it took 4 turns to start, and on the last one i counted 6 seconds for it to start. The first 3 times i would put the clutch in turn the key but it wouldnt even turn over or make a sound, from the outside the car seems to be running roughly. I was wondering what this could be, is it the timing or something.

The car is a 1999 Cavalier Z-24, 5 speed, 121,000 kilometeres

All help is greatly appreaciated.

your starter motor could be bad or you are getting a bad connection at the starter motor. and you said it runs roughly outside the car? After you get it started does it idle roughly?
