I cannot loosen bolt on Tcase

I need to check the fluid level on my Tcase. I can loosen the drain bold on the Tcase. but I can not get the fill bolt loose on the Transfer case. any suggestions as to how I can loosen the bolt. I also wanted to make sure I have the correct size of socket. I am using a 1-3/16" socet, I found this to be the best fit.
-Thanks

I cant remember what size it is, if it has a good fit it should work. As to loosening the plug try a propane torch and use plenty of pennatraiting oil.

For some reason I want to say the bolt is 30mm. But if you have a SAE socket that fits well you should be OK.

Re: I cannot loosen bolt on Tcase

just make a longer handle for the ratchet and remember - righty - tighty --- lefty-loosey. but if you already have the drain plug out - you knew that!
