95' Grand AM car stereo problem

My Cd player will turn on and off on bumpy roads. The head unit is new and the wiring for it is secure. I'm thinking a loose ground wire some where. Is there anyone else with an experience with this.

Re: 95' Grand AM car stereo problem

Is it just the CD part of the unit or will the stereo part of the unit shut off also? If it is just the CD portion then I would say you have a bad unit. If the whole unit shuts off you could have a loose wire at one of your connections or like you thought it could be a loose ground, I would have to say there is a loose wire since you are loosing power and then getting it back.

Check your main power lead and your main ground, even if you have secured them the method of connection may not be secure.

Hope this helps. Welcome to the forum.
