wiring harness anyone?

I have a 1980 Lincoln Mark VI, that I like to call my Lincoln (with a spanish accent), and I have looked at Wal-Mart, Canadian Tire, even in US stores for a wiring harness for a lincoln. I have found plenty of Lincoln harnesses, but none of them go back to my year of car. I have three questions. Is the wiring all the same for the latest year listed, which I have seen go as far back as '85? Is there a wiring harness for my car? Or will I be doing my own wiring? I have an Alpine Deck, manufactured in 2000, model CDM-7861, 45wattsx4, sub connection, etc and it has a GM harness on it now for a '96 GMC Suburban, and I was able to take it out when I totalled that mint condition baby!

I'm also looking to replace my rear axel for 4-wheel disk brakes. Anyone know where I can find one for cheap? I'm lookin to put a lowering kit on it here in the next little while, but I'll probably do that if I find an axel with disk brakes on it.

Try Crutchfield. They seem to have eveything. That's where I got mine from. I'm not sure if they have it back to 1980,but they always go the extra mile to research to find out what's compatible. Good luck!

OH MAN! You ROCK! I have been looking for this for a loooong time.

Now anyone know where I can get my hands on an rear axel with disk brakes? I live in BC Canada and I've searched online but to no avail. Anyone have a website for parts at least?

Hope you got your stereo wiring harness! Dang, now you're rebuilding the rear axle? If you have a local junk yard, try to find out what's compatible for your lincoln. Ie: a ford taurus, grand marquis, etc. As your junk yard guy, they will probably know. Good luck.
