Unhappy Ac Problems Noisy Compressor

I've Got A 95 Gmc Sierra. When I Push The Ac Button, The Compressor Engages And Is Noisy. It Does Not Blow Cold Air. The Pressur On The Low Side Is High (around 75 Psi). The Compressor Does Not Kick In And Out. It Stays On All The Time But Does Not Blow Cold Air. Is It A Pressure Switch? Will The Compressor Stay Kicked In If It Is Bad, Or Is It A Noisy Clutch?
None Of The Hoses Get Cold Or Frost Up. Any Help Is Appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Ac Problems Noisy Compressor

Your low side pressure is too high. The Orifice tube may be clogged. The orifice tube also acts like a filter.

Probably should have the system evacuated and then inspect the orifice tube. If there is metal shavings in the orifice tube, the compressor is probably bad.

If your pressure switch was bad, the evaporator would have iced up or the compressor would never have come on.

Is The Filter Tube Located In The Hose Going Into The Condensor?

I don't have a 95 FSM and I am not sure if it is in the same place as my 90 K1500 (which I do have the FSM).

When I replaced the orifice tube on my Impala, it was inside the hardline between the compressor on the condensor. It was obvious since the hardline can apart there.

If you want me to look up where it is on my 90, let me know and I can post later tonight.
