Question door ajar light

i was wondering if anybody out there knows how to fix this: my door ajar light on my 87 gt comes on whenever i accelerate. Under moderate acceleration it flickers and under heavy acceleration it stays on for the duration. Any ideas? -Chris

Re: door ajar light

Most likly the switch for the hood is causing the problem. Try to lower the two stops by the windshield to make the hood close lower, closing the switch. The stops are the two large black threaded "nut" things.
