1998 Eclipse RS, ENGINE HELP

My 420a motor runs rough and white smoke out exhuast after start-up. Does any-one know a possible cuase, give a hole bunch of cuases. This started to happen after a head-gasket change.

It's good to realize what precipitated the symptoms, since the shit you change is usually the first place to look for a problem.

White smoke could be coolant, which you could be burning because the headgasket you just changed is screwed, because the bolts weren't torqued with the correct sequence or the head was slightly warped from being overheated when the first hg went. The fact your car isn't running well, that you see white smoke from the tail, and that you recently changed the hg would support this hypothesis, but it isn't necessarily so. Do compression and leakdown tests to be sure.
