Rim and Tire Question HELP!
i bought some 17' rims off someone, one of the tires had a nail in it, so i brought it to the local show to get it plugged, the mechanic said it wasnt worth plugging because the tire had some wear on it.. the tires are in GOOD shape, just on the inside of each tire around the rim on the inside its worn down a little bit, i assume the guy i got the rims from had his car lowered, my car is also lowered, they guys said i should get all new tires, do i really need new tires??
Also on of the rims has a little bend in it, its got a little hair line crack where its bent, does this rim need to be replaced? thanks for you help guys |

Re: Rim and Tire Question HELP!
Well I am sure he knows what he is talking about. Like a Doctor get a second opinion go to another shop specializing in tires like a mavis or STS or somthing. Can you post up a pic for everyone to look at?

yeah they probably would know what there takin bout. on the rim though you can get it fixed, but you have to at least do that.jsut buy new tires, the tires on your car could save your life, or end it.the fact that there is uneven wear on the tires is not good to begin with. if your car is dropped get a chamber kit to align the chamber, and get a wwheel alignment to prevent uneven tire wear.
