Question maintenance required light reset?

Most likely this was covered before but I can not find it in forum "search" : How do you reset the "maintenance required" dash light that the dealer sets for maintenance intervals? I will be having some minor maintenance done for the first time by an independent shop instead of the Honda dealer. Thank you.

Re: maintenance required light reset?

it's simple

with your left hand press and hold the select/reset button on the guage cluster
with your right hand turn the ignition on(do not start engine)
continue holding until light flashes and finally goes off.

Thank you. I never got a glovebox manual with the used car so I did not know the procedure. It is reset now.

Re: Re: maintenance required light reset?

I'm not even sure that's in the manual. never read one so I don't know for sure, but I do know that was the most common thing some one brought their car into Honda for.
