What do you guys use to condition leather seats? I have a 2002 Grand Cherokee Overland with light grey leather seats and need something to keep it looking new.

Well, I never used anything to protect my leather seats in my Audi 5000S, but I suppose I should have. I suggest using a leather treatment that nourish's the leather by keeping it hydrated as to not let it dry out. I use white "KIWI Leather Cuir" on my shoes to keep them white. I know it's not the same. But you can get leather protection waxes at any auto store (AutoZone, Pep Boys, etc.). Mabey even at a furniture store.

Be careful what you put on your seats. Since you will be sitting on them, you don't want to put anything on them that will be oily or rub/sweat off onto you. That would make quite an impression at that job interview...
There are many products on the market, for leather seats, I'ld stay away from the silicon products, if for no other reason than it's oily and may come off. Saddle soap and Murphy's leather conditioner are good to use, but may darken the leather. My personal all time favorite is none other than good 'ole Armour All. Yup...Never had a problem with it ever...I've used it on every car I've had since the early '70s and even on my leather furniture (does wonders on scuffs made by pet claws) Just remember, once you start, don't stop. If you let the leather dry, it will crack... Ed web/gadget guru |
