Need a Little Help

I am stationed in Germany with the army, I am on my second 200SX /Silvia with the stock SR20DET. My first was a 1997 Z racing edition S14a and now I have a 1999 Z racing edition, I have put about 9 thousand dollars into this car and it is deffinetly not something I want to sell, but If I cant find out if I can bring it back to the states in June then I will have to sell it to some German who will never appriciate it (probably do some M3 front conversion, Ive seen it done!!!) Anyway does anyone know if I will be able to ship it to Utah and what will have to be done to it to get it to comply with US standards? The army will ship it for free but I still need to get it registerd and to pass Smog........Or would it be better to just strip the car of everything and bring back my 2 extra SR20DET's and find some 240SX to swap?

Re: Need a Little Help

I think your best bet is to take everything off and put it in a 240 once you get here. Unless of course there's some army bypass thing for the smog and whatnot, they can't get you on visual inspection since the engine belongs in the car, and SRs can be made to pass the sniffer....so....try your luck or swap it all out. lol
