92 B2200 chugging/jerking

i bought a 92 mazda b2200 about 2 weeks ago and now when i start out in first after complete stop the truck will start chugging/jerking for a few moments and will eventually smooth out, 2nd gear does it too sometimes as well. 3rd-5th are pretty much fine. like i said, this problem doesn't always happen to me when i drive but when it does, it becomes a big problem. thank you for any help you may have.

like it bucks back and forth? if so it is a case of BD...

BD? don't know what that is. i'm guessing that i might need a new fuel filter or need to clean the carb. i've been driving manual transmission vehicles for about 6 years and have never had a problem like this before.

is this your first truck with a manual tranny? BD was a joke, geuss what it means (think back to when you where first learing how to drive a stick)...
