I am new tot he forum and am in need of some majr help with wiring and fuses.

I have owned a 1993 Mustang LX with a 2.3L 4cyl engine in it for a few years and I love it to death. It is my first car and plan on keeping it for a long time. The car had been sitting for a few years in beed of a Tranny. I blew it out and was constantly in search for one. I would go out there and start and all of that to make sure everythingwas good.
Well I just finished up repairing it finally after a few years and come to find out my horn is not working. Each time that I would barely place a fuse to the prongs an electrical current would back feed and cause the fuse to blow. Originally it is supposed to be a 15 amp fuse, I went througn 20'a, 25's and even 30's and they kept blowing. Each time I would pull them out they would be hot......
I have checked the horn relay, replaced it, took the steering column outand apart to check for cut wiring nd all of that. Still nothing seemed to work. I even bought a brand new horn assembly. I do not know what the problem is. Could someone please help me??? I would greatly appreciate it. I am half tempted to run an auxilary button, but do not want too......

Seems people read this message and just bypass it. What is going on here? I mean some input would be nice....laughing or something to tell me what it is.....well here is a continued laugh for you.....

Well as you know my horn was not working and each time I put I fuse in to get the horn to work, it would short out and blow. I looked all around the car to see what it was, took out the steering column, checjed wires, dismantled the fuse panel and everything. I traced it down to no being the horn. Finally I get a diagram and find out that my cigarette lighter is also included there......so after all this time I look down and there are about 15 pennies in there....(counted them after I took them out. LMAO) I put a fuse it, it did not blow and now my horns work

Hey thanks for the reply. I felt rather stupid because I did not know what else went to the fuse and I tore everything apart trying to figure out what it was. Stupid things. Thank you very much though, it is greatly appreciated
