Quick help needed- (Classic Aurora)- Pressure Relief Valve on the Intake Manifold..
Hi guys,
Can someone with a classic model of Aurora (95-99) help me out here PLEASE!! I need to know what the Pressure Relief Valve on the Intake Manifold gets connected to. Here is where to find it- Facing the engine from the front of the car, it is on the very left side end of the black plastic Intake Mainfold housing. There is a plastic hose connector that faces the back that should have some type of tube connecting a vacuum-type hose going to ?? I checked the factory service manual, and it does not cover this, or any other type of vacuum hose either for future reference. My only hope seems to be if someone who has a 95-99 Aurora please look on their car and find out where this Pressure relief valve is connected to. Can someone PLEASE do this for me? It should only take a moment, and I would really appreciate it! Thanks in advance! ~Chris |

Re: Quick help needed- (Classic Aurora)- Pressure Relief Valve on the Intake Manifold..
The connector that faces the back doesn't connect to anything. I spend some time looking for the missing hose, or so I thought. But when I finally hooked up vacuum to the connector, it was closed off. The actual pressure relief valve is the trap door looking thing in front of and below that connector that you are looking at. In case of backfire, the trapdoor can flip open to vent the pressure. Because it is spring loaded, it snaps right back into place.
