gas mileage

for some reason i cant seem to get over 294 miles to the tank on my 99 sl2. my saturn was salvaged title when i got it and i cant seem to figure out y i cant seem to get mileage in the rages of 300+ like others. what gives?

why was the car salvaged? city or highway driving? how many gallions are you calling a "tank" (since everyone fills up at a different point). try replacing the ECT and thermostat.

i think it was to a side end collision. i know one of the rear bearings still needs to be replaced from the accident. it had only 27,000 miles on it when i got it and its a 99.

where online can i order the ect chip i needed. ive tried saturn parts.com and they didnt have it in for my model.
