95 neon dies mysteriously

My wife's 95 neon dies occasionally while driving...It sputters and dies. After waiting an hour or two, it'll start and drive fine.

The temp gauge may or may not be reliable, however I flushed and filled it in December after my very first head job...the neon

Brand new plugs, wires, and coil. No error codes showing, I'm stumped.

Re: 95 neon dies mysteriously

sounds like your fuel injectors need cleaned and or replaced usually when a car sputters and dies it means your car isnt getting the proper amount of fuel. I would start with fuel injector cleaner to unclog your injectors then go from there. check over the injectors to see if any need replaced. Also from time to time your exhaust system can have something to do with it... if the hydrocarbons and exhaust gasses are not being circulated in and out the right way it can cause some very similiar problems! drive the car for about 20 minutes then get out and see if the tail pipe is red this is a good sign or just have it looked at real good

Also, Check for fuel pressure when the car does not start. Check to see if the fuel pump is running when the car wont start. Could be a problem with the pump or the fuel pressure regulator.
