The dealer always tells you a higher price so they can make a higher profit. Haggle and you'll get it for alot less. Just act really hesitant about buying at that price and they'll slowly come down with the price

Its priced about above dealer trade-in and right at average retail whether you use Kelly or NADA but consistent with the mileage which is classified as high for a 2002. Plus pricing depends on which part of the country you live in, overall condition, and what options the vehicle has. Those books are only guides. Doesn't seem like a bad deal.

True: Febreze is great stuff. Shampoo the seats and carpet unless the car lot already did. Spray all cloth surfaces with febreze(lightly on headliner). Clean all plastic and vinyl surfaces with simple green. Spray some Febreze down the HVAC air intake and then start the car, turn the fan on and cycle the ac control thru all positions. And all this comes from a smoker who's cars don't smell like smoke!
If its leather I dont' know what to put on that. I hear it really holds the smell. Maybe a high class detail shop (not a dealer cleanup lot jockey)could point you in the right direction for a safe way to clean the smell out of the leather. Good luck!

Re: Buying GTP help with prices

i never could see the smoker thing...my mom has a nose for it.... i am not a smoker...was, but haven't been for years, and even before i ever started smoking, i never remember getting into someones ride and being like "damn, this smells like smoke!" If you want my allmighty, practical advice, i think we can all agree that the easiest thing to do is just redo every aspect of the upholestry....

(to save time in later post....that was a joke....take it or leave it....shut up Kid )
