97 Keyless Entry

I have a 97 passat GLX. I'm curious if it has keyless entry equiped. I read somewhere that if the passenger door has a key hole that it meant it was not equiped by the factory. Is that definitely the case. Are there other methods of finding out. Also, how do i lock the doors without the key? Thanks!

I believe that is correct, when VW started the keyless entry in '97 they eliminated the keyhole on the passenger side.
