Dominance

Most of the autocrosses I go to are SCCA or ER (Equipe Rapide... a Dallas-based SCCA offshoot) or BMW-CCA, so I race against seasoned autocross veterans... and lose.

This weekend I went to Baylor University's Driving Club autocross. And smoked everybody. On my stock RE92's. The field included an STi, a C5, a well-modded '00 RS, and a whole whole bunch of WRXes with upgraded tires (still street tires, though).

The only guy there faster than me was a race-ready not-street-legal BMW M3 with an experienced autocrosser behind the wheel. His time of day was 1:30.56. My best was 1:34.05. The next best time was a 1:35 (STi). I feel good about myself now, and about my Subaru.

My next event will more than likely be SCCA, and I'll get slapped down like the peon I truly am. But for now, I gloat.

Re: Dominance

Worthy gloating!

Good job on the great driving.

Remember, there's a lot of driver input involved in autocross, so you were obviously one of the best drivers there!
