How can you tell the dif between the stock kl03 engine and the klze
I am looking to buy a new motor for my car and i dont know how to tell the klze and kl03 apart. i am wanting to buy a klze and dont want to be ripped off.

The only difference that I could see was the KLZE was stamped KLZE right on the block. It is located on the lower rear right side of the block.

The throttle body elbow is much bigger and looks more square as the KLO3 has a bend.

Mr. Williams is correct, but he failed to tell you that what he means by bigger is that the neck for the throttle body is longer by at least 7 inches. The other way to tell is if the intake manifold is taken off, look at the intake ports on the heads. They should be rectangular for the KLZE and they are oval on the KL03. If the Intake manifold is on the engine look at the three individual manifold (legs). They should be rectangular, not oval.
