Question about cat/exhaust pipe

Ok, Im definately going to get my catback exhaust done by midas and I was wondering if they would just take my cat out and put straight pipe in? If they dont, is it possible for my to put in a pipe in place of it? How would I go about doing this, welding or just using clamps?? Or is there another way around it without buying a high flow cat?? thanks for the help

Re: Question about cat/exhaust pipe

nope, they wont replace the cat. big fine. replace the downpipe with one that eliminates the cat. it will bolt right onto the midas exhaust.

Re: Question about cat/exhaust pipe

it would have to taper at the flange to fit.

Re: Question about cat/exhaust pipe

my dad was saying something to me about midas making customs exhausts and shit...is that what you are doing? or are you saying you're having them install a cat-back you bought from somewhere? if you are having them make you a custom exhaust, how much are they charging you? i'm just curious because i want a catback
