Angry sputtering and surging

i have a 2002 harley davidson f150 with a new motor, cost me 400 for the built block alone, i aam havin this same problem, and checkengine light flashes when drivin, but also goes out sometimes too, it skipps in every gear not as bad in park and neutral though, my dealer i worked at told swares up and down that it is the torque converter, so i ordered a high performance one for like 1000 dollars, no i saw your thread and are not sure what it is now, i just dont wanna keep replacing those coils, its ever had a check engine light wheni was at the dealer, now it does and it halfway across town, gott get the pos towed now, yo think it would be ok to drive it to the dealer, mine also started just doin the on ful and light acceleration in 4th gear only, one day it got really bad in all gears including park, it then went away for about a week, then all hell broke looose again and the engine light flashes and i dont thinks its gonna go away again, any anwers to this problem would be greatly appreciated, i just wanna solve this problem im already out 400 for the motor and 1000 for the converter, and im not a rich guy, just one of those idiots that spend all his paycheck on his car lol

Re: sputtering and surging

Sounds like a electrical grounding issue. I would be checking all the ground wires. Should be several under the hood and near the computer.
