Just finished my daily 8 hours of homework, so I'm relaxing before going to bed and repeating the whole thing again tomorrow. I'm also contemplating ordering some new op amps for my headphone amp to see if I can find something better than the 627. I want to try out the NE5534 and AD8610, but I need to stop being such a cheap bastard and just order them already.

I was just thinking about daylight savings and how a mere 1-hour difference can fudge my sleeping routine up completely... I've been tossing and turning all night for the past couple of nights and waking up dead tired...

That, and now that it's slightly warmer those dumbass birds have decided to fly back into town and wake me up every morning at the crack of Sea Bear and Jamal with their incessant chirping. I swear, there's a tree right outside my bedroom window, and I'm starting to think (although I can't really see for sure because my eyes are so puffy from lack of sleep) that they line up in quartets on the closest branch and start that infernal noise just to piss me off... But I'm not bitter...

hey guys.. figured id post some thoughts while we have another bored thread..

i was about to put an SPL setup in my car cause im a punk high school kid who listens to rap loud.. and then started to realize that my system sounds like shit. sub distorts easily and isnt accurate, speakers have almost no midbass, one is blown, and the tweets are so harsh..

so i was looking for some components cheap.. and actually found a great deal on a set of CDT ef-61 components (6.5", silk dome tweets, 120 rms) and think im gonna buy em. now that ill be closer to having an SQ system i dont think im gonna do the 15 L7 anymore. now im lookign at an avalanche 15. (SQ speakers plus SPL sub = pointless right?)

problem is, this is the best i can afford (the av15) and im just hoping itll be loud enough for me. i knwo itll be louder than the CVR but i need some reassurance.

anybody mess around with one yet? anybody have one?

PS. yeah your avatar is pretty damn sweet but what the hell is 3 X? that sub must suck you should buy a comp VR.. i paid $600 for mine and its worth every penny

I have some CDT EF61-cf/25

These are the carbon fiber line, it's also fully upgraded. It has the upgraded 560 xover and the 1" silk tweeters. I'm looking to get rid of them in the near future. LMK if you're interested.
