Unhappy TOTALED my civic

Long story short, it was raining and I hydroplaned into someone. I was only doing 20-30 mph, and neither of us were hurt. I didn't get a ticket and my car took it alot worse then the other.....

Luckily the frame rail didn't get hit (thanks to my 2.5" drop) Depending on if the motor was damaged will depend on my decision to rebuild or not. I just completely re-built the motor, everything new and a few extra goodies. If the motor is ok I will buy it back from the insurance because the pieces that were damaged are easily replacable. Plus I was about to do an SiR headlight converion. Anyways, it still sucks balls....

ouch..that brings tears to my eyes man. Wrecks are always a bummer..especially when you worked so hard on your car.

Good luck rebuilding if you decide to.

Re: TOTALED my civic

Did you have full coverage?

I would still buy it back from insurance, pull the more valuable parts, and put it in a new project. Parts will probably not line up correctly, and your handling might be off too. I know it sucks, but I think you should just let go and start over.

BTW that was a really nice and clean 4g4d

Re: TOTALED my civic

I hate that all of the clean 4g4d's end up getting wrecked... Rebuild and keep it up! You've done too much work to completely start over, expecially if it is still feasable to salvage what you have done allready. Good luck, and keep us posted on the re-build!
