Car audio pro's

Quick question about the sounds in my 99 Legacy RS. I did a self install of a Lightning Audio Amp + Sub set with lots of help from this forum. However after having a fiddle round with the controls it seems that i only have bass on the left side (found this out by switching the balance all the way to the right and finding that my bass goes away). Is this normal or have i done something wrong?

Thanks.

Re: Car audio pro's

Did you add this setup to the existing OEM stereo? If so, sounds like you have one of the inputs crossed or maybe the subs are wired 180 degree out of phase.

I'm using the stock HU

Thanks for the help, yes, I am using the stock head unit(nice and ghetto splicing job), with an LOC going to the Amp with RCA cables. So are you saying its probably just a wiring problem at the HU end? Would this happen if say the wires coming from the Amp were going into the Sub in reverse? or doesnt that matter?

Cheers,
'Tang
