Re: wanting to buy 4th gen

Look at like 96 and later, thatw ay you can get a 3.8 rather than a 3.4 I have a V6 2001 and I paid 6,000 which was a hell of a bargain, but you could get one a few years older for about a grand or so less. I saw a 97 in the at a car lot for 4,500 but it had some mechanical problems to put some perspective on it for you... I would try www.autotrader.com you can find some pretty good deals there if you look

Re: wanting to buy 4th gen

i believe he said NOT A V6.. look into a 94-96 Z28, they come with the LT1 350cid V8 and arent much more than the newer v6 models. They really actually rival the prices quite well. You can generally find one of these in good shape with less than a hundred thousand miles for under 7,000. Check Auto Trader like he said, but also look on ebay, who knows what you may find there...

You can also go to your local gas station and pick up the want ad or other auto trading magazines to look for what you want. They have some nice deals sometimes. It where i got my baby.

Re: wanting to buy 4th gen

Why don't you list what you are looking to do and what you want, we can give you a better year to go off of. 93-97 LT1 motor, 98-2002 LS1.
In a nutshell: LT1 cheapter parts to upgrade, iron block, few less horsies then the LS1
LS1 more expensive parts, aluminum block more horsies.
There have been 20935702947 threads started on the aspect between the two, search for 'em if yo uare interested.

Other just tell us what you are looking for.

Btw, Welcome to the forums and good choice to get a Maro.
