clearing codes on 94 GC 4.0 HELP!!
I have got a 94 Grand Cherokee 4.0 with 127,00 miles on it and recently after coming home from a four wheeling trip noticed that the check engine light came on and the the car was jerking and the idle was all messed up when i slowed to a stop. Also after about 45 mph or so it wont shift into 4th gear and just stays at about 3000 rpm. Flashed the codes today and it kicked back 21 and 24, i found out what the 21 is, but what is the 24 code and after i install the o2 sensor how do i reset the computer, thank you so much, JEEPS RULE!!!

Re: clearing codes on 94 GC 4.0 HELP!!
On the 94 JGC I have, once the problem that was throwing th codes was fixed, it stopped throwing the check engine light. However, if a reset of the onboard comp is needed, one of the simpler ways is to disconnect the negative terminal and leave it for 5 minutes, then reconnect it

Re: clearing codes on 94 GC 4.0 HELP!!
Code 21 - Oxygen sensor signal-neither rich or lean condition is detected from the oxygen sensor input.
Code 24 - Throttle Position sensor voltage high or low. Yes, to clear the stored codes from the computer just disconnect the battery. |
