Re: spark plug help
So have you double checked the plug wires with the firing order??? 153624
#1 is at the bottom of the distributer cap and 6 is at the top. distributer rotation is clockwise. What kind of plugs did you use??? Were the plug wires difficult to remove that one was damaged?? just brainstorming here...... JD |

What year? Did you pull something loose for the wire harness?

Re: spark plug help
all wires are correct, i used the plug selection manual for my 96 cherokee at walmart and was assuming they were correctly gapped

Re: spark plug help
never assume that they are gapped.all it takes is for the box to be dropped 1 time and it can bend the side electrode.also are you sure you didnt crack one of the plugs putting them in?Did you use an actual spark plug socket or just a deep socket?a spark plug socket has a rubber insert to protect the porcelain which is pretty fragile.also a blinking check engine light means possible catalyst damage so if you keep driving like that you can melt the converter

Re: spark plug help
Like xj31 says, never assume the gaps are correct. Double check them. Did you pull on the wire or the boot when you removed them? Are you sure you have the wires pushed on all the way?
Try pulling the codes to see what's causing your check engine light to flash. |
