who sells the cheapes heat shields?
I have 93 325is and i made my own intake but I just found out that it's my car is actually performing worse because it is getting even hotter air than with the stock setup. Does any where i can just order the heat shield without buying the whole intake kit. thanks guys.

Heat shields
Don't know if these are the cheapest or not but you can buy the heat shield by itself from East Coast Induction Systems (http://www.ecisbmw.com/) look under products - intakes.
Also how is your Mechanical skills? you could always try making your own one if you really want to do it cheap. best of luck, Rossco 1996 E36 320i
