Interior Lights and Door Ajar

I have a 2000 Impala LS, today the door ajar light kept coming on and tonight I noticed my interior lights are staying on. I open the door and the interior lights go out, but a few minutes later the lights come back on. Help!

Re: Interior Lights and Door Ajar

We're having the same problems with a 2004 impala.
The "message center" says the door is open all the time
the bell dings even going down the highway. The doors lock and
unlock randomly while driving.

Re: Interior Lights and Door Ajar

Maybe one of the door switches has gone bad?
Or maybe the BCM has lost it's mind?

Re: Interior Lights and Door Ajar

for shits and grins you can try to clean up the door ajar switches (I'm not sure where they are), otherwise start saving up for a new BCM. it'll cost you around $300 - $400.
