The Sebring: One death and a kill.

Well, Neutrino and I were hanging out the other night and since he is car less right now I had to drive him home. On our way we decided to head down State Street since CivRacer95 said he'd be out. We looked for him but didn't see him. Anyhow, I drop Neutrino off and head home. I head back up State for the hell of it and get no action. So I turn around to take another pass. This is where things got a tad interesting.

I was sitting at a light and a Stealth ES pulls up next to me. The car looks like shit since it has been munched up pretty bad on the side. When the light turned green I got no warning he he took off. I floored it as well. He was pulling on me, but he was shifting way too slow. I was right at his rear quarter panel when he decided to shut down. It was a very short race.

After that we are just cruising when I see two sets of headlight coming up fast from behind. I had no where to go to get out of the way. Both of the assholes damn near hit me going around 70 - 80 MPH. It was a shitty blue Chevy Corsica followed by a Silver Civic that looked like utter shit as well. The Civic ended up passing the Corsica. Later I found the Corsica to be driven by some goofy looking idiot with a cowboy hat. He was also racing everyone at every light whether they were racing or not.

Anyhow I turn around and head back for home and ran into some different cars that I thought would race but wouldn't bite. I ran into a Dodge Avenger with a nasty body kit that wouldn't bite same goes for a Contour with a nasty body kit. I had figured the night was over and I had to settle for a loss. However, in Pleasant Grove I ran into a Grand Am that decided to race. When the light changed we both took off at the same time. I figured I was just going to punch it rather than play catch-up. He seemed to want to race anyway. He hung with me through second but once I got into third I just walked on him. By the time I shut down I had to have put two to three car lengths on him.

So the night wasn't a total loss.

The Grand Am wasn't the latest body style. It was the body style before that. The loss doesn't bother me that much since even a Stealth ES should be able to beat me, especially one with a manual. It was bound to happen sooner or later.

However, the plan for next week is to have the GTC all tuned up with the manual boost controller installed running at around 14 PSI. Neutrino and I are planning on getting out his camera and having some fun!
