removal and replace head lights
Hi,
Can someone help me figure out how to remove the head lights on my GMC Sierra 3500 1994 pick up? Head lights are turning yellow and I want to replace them. Thanks Rocky |

Re: removal and replace head lights
theres 2 long bolts that go straight down through the lights. i believe they are 4.5mm or 7/32" but vise grips will probably do the trick if need be.

The headlights? You'll have to take off the main front piece of your truck which should be a couple screws. After that is off you'll see the headlights right there and can unscrew them easily. If you are replacing parking lights, there are 4 screws for each one. These are on the outside and do not require removing the front face. If you are replacing the corner lights, you will have to remove the front face. Hope this is of some help. |

Re: removal and replace head lights
I'm having the same issue with my 1997. How do you get the grill off? I've found 4 bolts across the top, 1 behind the GMC logo, but yet it doesn't seem to want to come off. Am I missing some bolts somewhere?

I took the grille off mine to fix the center mounted horn. I recall there were bolts inside the parking lights also. You need to remove the lenses to access them. If you still have problems, I'll refresh my memory by looking in the shop manual. Bob B |
