Drag strip fun

I finally got out to the local strip today, ran my car a few times. best run:

2.057 60ft
9.039 1/8 et
14.096 1/4 et
97.58 1/4 mph

this was on all-weather, stock replacement tires... they wouldn't let me run my ET streets without a driveshaft loop and good wheel studs. i only got 2 runs in, 2nd run i spun through first and lit the red.... ran 15.50.

so i'll order a loop and some studs, go back sometime, and run the slicks... i'm hoping for 13.80s. hopefully with my 3.73, it'll run around 13.20s or so.

i'm very pleased with the car's performance... ran faster than i thought. mustangs own =)

Re: Drag strip fun

was that ur '89 5.0 that got that time? its almost the same as my '03 GT but mine is pretty much stock still only have a shifter in it. if u havent ordered the loop, i recomend www.stangsuspension.com look under drivetrain. i ordered my shifter from them and they delivered it in time, gave me a tracking number, and i think theyre not that expensive. well good luck

i ordered a Lakewood driveshaft loop from summit, i've found them to be really reliable, and their prices are usually the best. takes just a couple days to get stuff to me too. i also ordered moroso wheelstuds and weld lugnuts that'll work with my draglites. so next time i'll be prepared. and yes, it was my '89 that ran that time, the '86 currently has no interior or drivetrain.
