coil location

well first off i want to ask if the coil is a "problem" on our cars? either way i need to know where my coil would be located, its an 89 dx d15b2 TIA
PS if anyone knows why honda did the coil this way i would like to know seams kind of that they woudlnt just put a fith plug wire in the top like most other vehicals

located inside of the distributor man...can go msd and get and external coil if you want to go that way....

yeah its iside the dizzy, has like 2 wires going to it held down by philpshead screws. im guessing honda did it to leave more room or something, they also cost less than the big soda can sized coils.

using the shortest coil wire possible is the most efficient coil setup. with the coil inside the distributor, there is no coil wire at all, only a small metal jumper, so less spark energy is lost over wire distance.
