1999 Cavalier RS 2.2L--2 questions

Where in the heck is the PCV valve on this thing? I've looked all over the valve cover and can't find it. I know the 2.4L doesn't have one, but mine does and I can't find it.

Also every so often, no matter what the fuel level, the engine just dies. 99% of the time, I can turn it back on and drive for another few miles before it dies again. Rinse and repeat. I had a mechanic tell me that there was dirt getting in the fuel filter. If I clean the fuel injectors, replace the spark plugs, and replace the fuel filter, it runs good for about 1000 miles until the above problem starts again. I would think dirt in the tank, but why does shutting off the key and restarting make it run okay almost immediately. I am baffled; any help would be appreciated...

You have one, but you don't ever have to change it on the 2200 model. Its a nipple on top of the valve cover.
