Intermittent electrical problems

I have a 97 Intrepid, 3.3 liter. Recently when the car is started the power window, locks, a/c do not work. The air bag light also comes on. I think it might be the ignition switch, but I'm not sure. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Thanks!

Hey 1thunder thanks for the reply. I haven't been able to dig into the problem yet but I did take a look, and it looks like the top and bottom shroud for the steering column need to come off along with the tilt lever. Other than disconnecting the battery, any other tips you could offer would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Re: Intermittent electrical problems

Yes, the ignition switch is held on with 2 screws, these screws are an Inverted Torx type screw and you need a special socket to remove them.

Re: Intermittent electrical problems

yes you are right just remove these covers and the tilt lever and i believe you may have to move the multifunction switch to access these torx screws and i have been able to remove these torx screws with a regular 6 point socket just tap the one closest in size or you will have to purchase a very small torx socket and if you purchase a switch from dealer the screws come with switch then you can match up socket size ahead of time but all said this is not a big job 20-30 minutes if all tools are handy

Thanks!

Yeah, I bought the switch and I actually have the correct socket for the screws. I forget what the real name is but we used to call them gorilla screws. I have no idea why but...
Hey thanks again for all the info.
