89 marquis Problem taillights
All the lights on my 89 work except for the tail lights, I'm trying to change the electrical harness for the headlight switch but it's still not working. Any suggestions?

Re: 89 marquis Problem taillights
Take a look at the wiring in the trunk. If stuff has been hauled in there, it could have done something to the wires.
If that's not it, then trace the wires forward and look for damage.

Did you change the harness connector for the headlamp switch because it overheated and melted from a poor connection to the switch pins? If so you may have fried the switch also, check with a test light or voltmeter for power from switch at the connector for taillights,,sorry I don't have a wiring diagram, can't tell you which wires. Also check taillamp fuse.
