Re: 1994 aspire

I have a '95. 118,000 mi, little bad on gas at the moment. You can try replacing the spark plugs and wires, distributer cap, fuel filter, air filter. Use a fuel injecter cleaner. If that does'nt help than you can have the Oxygen sensers tested/replaced. The air intake could be ajusted wrong (idles to high) Waiting to long to shift on a stick shift(RPMs get high). And even could be your brakes, you can jack up each wheel and see if it spins freely.

I have'nt got around to fixen mine yet, But I do know the my Catalitic converter is bad (loud rattle under front passenger floor). Not shure if it is restricting air flow or not.

hope this helps.

People may laugh at our small cars, but we laugh at how much gas they use.

Hello
dont know if this will help or not but i was getting pretty bad gas milage also and it turned out that the egr valve and the air passages for it were completly clogged. ended up pulling the throttle body to clean it out completly but it helped greatly just my 2cents worth

Well Here is what I did to my aspire first thing was hollowed out the Cat converter then put in a new O2 sensor in it and improved gas milage from 40 to about 48 on the hiway Driving no faster than 60MPH and letting the car accelerate down hills and slow down going up the hills. In the city right now currently getting between 34 and 37 MPG in the city with mine I get about 450 Mi avg per tank with my assfire
