A goodbuy?

I'm buying a '99 gran prix se from a guy this weekend. Former company car. has 106k on it but im only paying 3.5k for it. Do you guys think that this a good deal? The car is spotless and passed my mechanics inspection. Thanks for any advice.

Re: A goodbuy?

Well according to its book value that is good buy. Its right around were it should be for a private seller. I say go for it. Good luck.

Yeah, the blue book drop is good. But the 106k miles has me worried. I don't want to pickup the car on its last legs. It test drove wonderfully.

Re: A goodbuy?

a 106K really isn't what it use to be. Plenty of cars make it to 200K or more now without needing major repair. If it drives fine and checked out ok. I would go for it but thats me.

Re: A goodbuy?

yeah, I wouldn't be to worried about the miles unless they were really hard miles. My 94 GTP has almost 140,000 and it still runs like a champ

Ture. Thanks guys. I'm heading to AAA monday to get it transfered to me. If it breaks, I'll just have a new shade tree project.
