Total newbie to building up a new engine
I have a 91 chevy caprice i belive it is a 9c1. dont know for shure
i know it has tbi and am wanting to get the very most out of it without just buying a new motor. the 305 that is in the car now is at about 200,000 miles i am wanting to take this car from poodle to bulldog on a budget of about 2500 bux any ideas? thanks eddie |

Look at the underside of the trunklid for a SPID sticker, if it says 9C1 somewhere on it, then it probably is. It should also say either L03 (305), or L05 (350) for the engine. G80 means positraction.
Use the search function for buildup ideas. Or even look into swapping a L05.

well i bought a injector spacer whic is suppose to be good for 10hp and a tb spacer which is suppose to be good for 20hp, im pretty sure that the 9c1 cars did not come with anything but the lt1 but i may be wrong, as for other stuff for more hp you could try a high flow exhaust and maybe a power programmer
