94 gsr talking crap

my friend has a 94 gsr with basic mods and he thinks that my 92 ls with the same mods as him plus a little bit more performance mods has no chance and will never beat him EVER. Is he right??

Re: 94 gsr talking crap

Too many variables. Race him and find out for yourself.
You didn't say what mods you have, what mods he has, who is the better driver, either of you have any kind of weight reduction, either of you have a sound system that will weigh you down more (big subwoofer box), slicks vs street tires, what distance race (1/8th mile, ¼ mile)?
But if you don't actually race him and find out for yourself, then he's right and you will never win.

Re: 94 gsr talking crap

GSR stock is around 15.3 on the 1/4 or so with a really good driver. ls was like 16.1 or something like that I believe.

or is that right?

dead on my friend

i have seen many 3rd gen gs-r hit 15.1 also though. From what I gather though 2nd gen gs-r is generally considered quicker than 3rd gen. It is definately nominal and up to the driver in my opinion.

first of all if you are going to quote me at least give me credit for it or put it in quotations so people don't think it is you saying that information. And second of all I was refering to a 2nd gen gs-r versus a 3rd gen gs-r.

The current topic is between a 2nd gen LS and a 3rd gen gs-r, in which case the gs-r wins hands down.
