97 Jimmy transmission issue

All of a sudden I went to drive my truck today and the tach was as it should be accelerating from a stop but I was barley crawling then got up to speed. There is no noise coming from the transmission or engine indicating a problem but the Check Engine Light has also come on. Not sure if it is a mechanical or computer related issue. Any thoughts?

You said your check engine light came on?If it did I would go to autozone and get the codes and see what you come up with..

Agreed, have autozone pull the codes.

Re: 97 Jimmy transmission issue

Thanks for the advice, I will have the code checked and go from there. At first I thought it was a mechinical problem but something all of a sudden makes me think it is not.
