jolting??

i have an 88 gt. it is a 5 speed manual. today the car starting jolting pretty badly at around 2000 rpm, but after about 3 or 4 shifts back and forth it stopped, and has driven fine since. today was very raining so im thinking maybe it could be bad wires... what do you guys think.

Re: jolting??

do you have mass air intake?
if so it might have taken in water they do that and the jolting is usually a result if that is the case its nothing to worry about just try to avoid puddles
