The passenger side mirror is cracked and I can replace the glass only from another regal. How do I get the intact mirror off of the side mirror unit to place in the side unit of the one that is cracked in many places. It is heated and monochromic. The movements still work in both. Do I simply pry it off or can it be done without taking the whole mirror unit off? I know there are two wires for the electrical contacts. Thanks for any help.

Re: replacing cracked mirror glass only for side of 2000 regal
You can order just the mirror glass for like $8 at many parts stores. Just peal and stick after removing the broken one. You might be able to get one off at the junk yard using a long flat kitchen knife, just pust the mirror way over to one side so you can get behind it. Good Luck.

regal side mirror
Thanks for the help...once I get the mirror turned all the way to one side and using a long kitchen knife, what do I do...Pry it off or cut or what? I thought about ordering one of the peel & stick, but it will not automatically darken like the others when birght lights are behind me. I just didn't want to pry it off if there are certain things to undo or places to separate. Thank you again.
